The Dead Air Ghost Piston combines well with Dead Air's superior line of silencers such as the Wolfman, Ghost-45M and the Primal with P-Series adapter. The job of the piston is to offset the weight of the suppressor. It does this by driving the suppressor forward ever so slightly while the barrel moves to the rear to unlock the action. The tiny bit of movement counteracts the suppressor's weight and allows the gun to cycle properly.

Dead Air's Ghost Piston is easily interchangeable between numerous silencers and calibers, most notably the Ghost-M and Wolfman and uses the industry standard thread pitch of M13.5x1LH found in 9mm calibers.
The Dead Air Ghost Piston forms part of the Dead Air booster assembly and allows the firearm to perform smooth, efficient cycling to the benefit of the shooter.
While this piston contains the female threads that attach to the muzzle of the host pistol or sub-gun.
It should be noted that to gain optimal performance the Ghost Piston should be used in conjunction with the P-Series booster assembly, which is sold separately. This piston is also not compatible with the Dead Air Odessa-9 suppressor.
