Key Improvements in Gen IV
- Dual-Fuel Drive Train: A redesigned internal spring and slider system that makes the deployment significantly smoother and reduces the "thumb fatigue" often associated with older Ultratechs.
- Crud Kutter: Milled grooves underneath the thumb slide that help push pocket lint and debris out of the internal track, increasing reliability between cleanings.
- Pocket Clip & Glass Breaker: Features a redesigned milled titanium clip with a ceramic ball for easier pocket transitions and a more streamlined stainless steel glass breaker.
- Maintenance: The switch to standard Torx hardware in Gen IV is a major win for users, as it allows for easier maintenance and clip swapping without needing specialized Microtech tools.
