The Blue Force Gear GRID™ Belt is based on a two-belt inner/outer belt system and features laser-cut MOLLEminus slots for attaching holsters and other gear. The GRID Belt is an excellent duty belt for most military, police, and law enforcement personnel. It is also an ideal choice for sports shooters, prepared citizens, or anyone looking for a “war belt” who doesn’t need a belt with load-rated capabilities.
The GRID™ Belt by Blue Force Gear
The Blue Force Gear GRID Belt revolutionizes modern battle belt design. The GRID Belt incorporates all the load-carriage and design features from the popular Blue Force Gear CHLK™ Belt minus the specific load-rated capabilities required by helicopter assaulters. The result is a low-profile duty belt without unnecessary features that create additional weight and cost.
A Battle Belt Engineered for Comfort
Inspired by the changes leather belts undergo after they have been broken in from everyday use, the GRID Belt features a 32-degree curve designed to mimic the contour of the human waist. The belt also features a subtle outward cant from top to bottom, resulting in a more comfortable fit at both the waist and the hips. This makes it far better suited for long-term wear than typical flat-profile battle belts.
Two Buckle Options
The GRID’s outer belt comes standard with a patent-pending glass-filled nylon buckle that is significantly more durable than a plastic SR buckle. The patented one-piece buckle uses the GRID Belt itself as the fitment point resulting in an extremely low profile, easy-to-use closure. Optional COBRA® Quick Release Buckle upgrade kits are available for the GRID Belt and can be purchased separately.
MOLLEminus™ Outer Belt
The MOLLE-compatible outer belt is designed to attach via hook-and-loop to the updated inner belt securely. Using modern materials, including our ULTRAcomp high-performance laminate, the outer belt is lightweight and flexible enough for long-term comfort. Still, it is rigid enough to serve as a stable attachment platform for pouches and duty holsters.
Updated ULTRAcomp® Inner Belt Design
The cushioned inner belt, laser cut from our ULTRAcomp high-performance laminate, can also be worn independently as a lightweight EDC or pistol belt. The ULTRAcomp inner belt has been updated for 2023 to include a G-Hook for improved fit and a more secure connection.
MOLLE Compatible
The GRID Belt uses our precision laser cut MOLLEminus design that is compatible with pouches utilizing our own Helium Whisper® technology and pouches featuring legacy MOLLE and belt-mounted systems. We eliminate the possibility of stitching failures that can occur with standard PALS loops by cutting MOLLEminus slots directly into the ULTRAcomp. The MOLLEminus system gives the user more mounting options for gear than what is possible with traditional MOLLE systems.
AVOID DISSAPPOINTMENT – HOW TO SIZE
The GRID Belt was sized similar to the Crye Precision G3 Combat Pant and NOT your typical jeans or pants size. Avoid disappointment and the delay in returning your GRID Belt for a different size that could potentially be out of stock.
How to Get Your Correct Belt Size
- Put on your duty pants or equivalent
- Take your pants belt and wrap it around your waist where your belt loops are
- Guide the tail of the belt over the tip of the buckle and mark the spot with your finger or a piece of tape, where the belt meets the buckle at its tightest point
- Lay your belt on a table and measure with a tape measure from the tip of the buckle to the marked spot
- Find you’re the range of your specific measurement and then order the size to the right of that.
When in doubt, go up one size. For optimal stability, the ends of the GRID Belt need to overlap and secure to each other contrast to other MOLLE belts where you would want it smaller.

DONNING GRID BELT
Feed inner belt through belt loops (Hook & loop side out) (reverse for use as pant belt)
Feed securing-hook through eyelet on opposite end
Adjust as needed
Don outer belt, insuring VELCRO® Brand fastener faces inward
Buckle, tighten, operate
ATTACH POUCH HELIUM WHISPER®
Feed MOLLE straps through outer belt from inside of belt, first
Route straps back through MOLLE loops on pouch, bypass middle slots on belt
Route straps through bottom slots then through pouch loops
Pull taut and tuck VELCRO® Brand fastener ends of MOLLE straps into bottom most MOLLE loop
