The C&H Precision DW-DWX-RSH is a professional-grade optic adapter plate specifically designed for the Dan Wesson DWX (both Full Size and Compact "Optic Ready" models).

This plate is widely considered the "go-to" for the DWX because it includes a built-in rear sight channel, allowing you to maintain backup iron sights (BUIS) without needing to mill the slide further.

Compatibility & Footprint

This plate uses the Trijicon RMR footprint, which is the industry standard for full-sized duty optics.

Optic Type Compatible Models
Trijicon RMR, RMR HD, SRO, RCR
Holosun 407C, 507C, 507Comp, 508T
C&H Precision COMP, COMP MAX, EDC XL
Other Olight Osight X, Ameriglo Haven

Key Features

  • Patented T-Nuts: Unlike standard plates where the screws thread directly into the aluminum, C&H uses replaceable stainless steel T-Nuts. This provides significantly more thread engagement and prevents the "stripped screw" nightmare that can ruin an optic mounting session.
  • Material: Machined from 6061 aluminum with a MIL-SPEC Type III Hard Anodized black finish.
  • Integrated Rear Sight: The plate features a dovetail-style rear sight notch built into the rear of the adapter.Hardware Included: The kit typically ships with multiple screw sets (different lengths for RMR vs. Holosun) and the required T-Nuts.

Installation & Co-Witness Notes

  • Front Sight Pairing: Because this plate adds height to the rear, your factory front sight will likely be too low to use. For a lower 1/3 co-witness, users generally recommend a .150" or .160" tall front sight (standard Novak-style front cut on the DWX).Torque Specs: *
  • Plate to Slide: 15–18 inch-pounds (use a drop of blue Loctite).
  • Optic to Plate: 12–15 inch-pounds (refer to your specific optic manual).
