The Cogent is like a button lock version of the old Incite design but with a handle shape and milling pattern we've definitely seen before. The model is not quite coming to us but that's just fine, the Cogent design stands on its own as one of CIVIVI's best and most versatile pieces. Don't believe us, it's one of the only knives they offer available with a partially serrated edge. It may not be the best looker with this edge type but functionally is absolutely unparalleled when it comes to cutting fibrous material like a rope. You've gotta have your plain edge blade hair popping sharp but a run of serrations makes this chore a breeze. Add in the ever-growing-in-popularity button lock and the caged ceramic bearings and you've got a stellar knife at an awesome price point. It makes a cogent argument to be your next knife purchase, will it be?
