Performance. Beam Profile. Switching. Existing options didn't sit well with us. In typical Cloud fashion, we set to combine ALL factors when creating a pistol light meant for real-world applications at real-world pistol distances.

Beam Profile

Nobody talks about this but they should. Situational awareness is life or death. Thus, beam profile is life or death. Overwhelmingly, pistol applications are 0-25 yards. Your beam needs to be optimized for that and it must give you the candela needed to defeat photonics barriers. That is why we opted to put more light into the flood, and open the hot spot bigger than anybody else.

Whether you need to fill an entire room with light or get PID at 50 yards, the EPL was literally built for the task. 

Switches and Activation

The toggles are also an important topic of discussion. The EPL features an ergonomic and intuitive forward-push activation method, allowing you to maintain your shooting grip while activating or deactivating your light using a “thumbs forward” motion, or with your trigger finger outside of the trigger guard. Additionally, the toggles are ambidextrous and come in two different sizes for customization.

Power

The EPL Duty is designed for button-top, protected 18350-C batteries to ensure peak reliability and performance. Battery changes can be made through the front of the light by simply unscrewing the head. No need to remove the light from your pistol.
Fully tested to ANSI/PLATO-FL1 standards.

Compatibility

From the start we designed the EPL to be compatible with all popular duty-style holsters such as Safariland® 6000 and 7000 series, LAS Concealment®, Aliengear®, Bladetech®, and more. In most cases the EPL will drop right in to all X300 and TLR-1 style light bearing duty holsters.

Included are two sets or toggles (short and extended) that allow you to customize the EPL to your hand size and application. You can also mix and match based on your needs. For example, you can use the extended toggle for your dominate hand and a short toggle for your support hand, or vice versa. In addition, we have included three recoil lugs: Picatinny, Glock®, and Sig® to ensure a precise and secure fit on your pistol.
