The HX30-AR15S2-ONP is a specific variant of the Sentry Hexmag Series 2, featuring a factory-applied "One Nation" (ONP) hydro-dipped aesthetic. This pattern is a distressed, grayscale American flag design that covers the entire magazine body.
The HEXMAG HD magazine is ideal for any sport, competitor or tactical shooters demanding superior strength, proven reliability and exceptional performance. HEXMAG's newest feature that combines their best POLYHEX2 mags with an incredible coating to further enhance the design and style of your HEXMAG.
Hydro dipping, also known as water transfer printing or hydro graphics, is a method of applying decorative designs to three-dimensional objects. It involves floating a thin, printed film on water, then immersing the object into the water, where the design adheres to its surface. This technique allows for complex patterns and artwork to be transferred onto a wide range of materials and shapes. This process bonds in a way that is super durable and keeps looking good for years to come.
The HD mags incorporate all of the Series 2 features including redesigned feed lip geometry to maximize strength and versatility, stripper clip guides for faster reloading, deep catch pocket for rock-solid stability and a heat-treated stainless steel spring for extended storage periods.
Series 2 Advantages
Because this is the S2 (Series 2) model, it includes several functional upgrades over the older Hexmags:
- Revised Feed Lips: Made from a more rigid polymer to prevent "blooming" (spreading apart) when the magazine is left fully loaded for long periods.
- Stripper Clip Guide: Integrated into the top of the magazine for faster loading.
- Toolless Floorplate: The orange hexagonal button on the bottom allows you to slide the floorplate off easily for cleaning without needing a punch or tool.
- Caliber: .223 Remington / 5.56x45mm NATO / .300 Blackout
- Material: Fiber-reinforced PolyPropylene (Polyhex)
Hydro-Dip Care Note
While the "One Nation" pattern is durable, hydro-dipping is a surface treatment. Frequent "tactical reloads" (dropping the mag on concrete or gravel) will eventually cause the pattern to chip or wear at the impact points. If you want to preserve the flag design, it's best used for flat-range practice rather than high-intensity gravel pit drills.
Series 2 Improvements
If you are buying these, ensure the packaging explicitly states Series 2. Here is why the S2 is superior to the original:
| Feature | Series 2 Upgrade |
| Feed Lips | Reinforced geometry to prevent rounds from "popping out" under high spring tension. |
| Stripper Clip Guide | Now fully compatible with standard mil-spec stripper clips and spoons. |
| Catch Pocket | Re-engineered to provide a more positive "click" when seating in the magwell. |
| Follower | Features a more stable, anti-tilt design to prevent nose-diving. |
