The engineers at Hogue Knives strive to create solutions by design and to overcome obstacles that challenge their customers in the midst of specialized pursuits. With the variable needs of the hunter at the forefront of this project, Jim and Scott Bruhns created an ultra-lightweight fixed blade knife to conquer the aspects of field dressing that require longer, deeper cuts. The Extrak XL is comprised of CPM-Magnacut stainless steel steel that allows more time to be spent under the knife and less time sharpening and worrying about corrosion. It weighs 2.3 ounces and also features removable G10 scales with Peel Ply texture. This enables proper gription and gives the user the option to further reduce overall pack weight. The Extrak XL is included with a nylon blade guard for added protection when stowed.
