BARS Works Great On Low Platforms
My primarily use was for a lower sitting dot to use on an Ak. Although I prefer QD mounts-this pairs well with a MI QD side mount rail. Its not a high end mount, but like this optic: it works for a lot less. Ak Irons were hard to see, this fixed it. Pros: Optic hight. The AK front sight is in its view which I would bet can be useful reference point for close distances. The hood sight was not distracting. (Primarily designed for AK platform but would be nice on some lower PCC perhaps on a riser. Clearer glass, Large View, Not a lot of tint overcasting view. Side Battery tray. Simple 3 MOA dot. Cons: Not many if you take this for what it is and its price. If you are OK with its specs- simple is what you get. It is not some high tech uber durable optic but in my opinion it fits the system well, and does simple dot work better than some higher priced options.
