The Pearce Grip Extension (PG-BG2.0) is specifically designed for the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 (.380 ACP). It is a popular modification for shooters who find the compact 10-round magazine a bit too short for a full, secure grip.
Key Features
- Added Surface: Adds approximately 3/4" of gripping surface, allowing for a full "three-finger" grip (pinky included) for better control and reduced muzzle flip.
- Capacity: This is a Finger Grip Extension only. It does not increase the magazine capacity; it simply replaces the original base plate.
- Material: Made from High Impact Polymer, designed to match the factory texture and contours of the Bodyguard 2.0 for a seamless look.
- Durability: Pearce tests these to withstand extreme temperatures ($-20^\circ\text{F}$ to $250^\circ\text{F}$) and drop tests.
Compatibility Warning
- Fits: ONLY the factory 10-round magazines for the Bodyguard 2.0.
- Does NOT Fit: The 12-round extended magazines (which already have a built-in grip extension) or the older, original Bodyguard .380 models.
Installation Tips
- Safety First: Ensure the magazine is empty and the firearm is clear.
- Remove Base Plate: Depress the locking tab on the bottom of the magazine (using a punch or small screwdriver) and slide the factory base plate off. Caution: Hold your thumb over the bottom to prevent the magazine spring from flying out.
- Slide on Pearce: While holding the spring/inner plate down, slide the PG-BG2.0 onto the magazine rails until the locking tab clicks into place.
