The Trijicon TA02-C-100564 is a professional-grade "dual-sighting" system that combines the battery-powered 4x32 LED ACOG with a piggybacked RM06 RMR Type 2.
Unlike the classic TA31 ACOG that uses fiber optics and tritium, this "LED" version (TA02) is powered by a single AA battery. This allows you to manually adjust the reticle brightness, which is a major advantage in transitional lighting or when shooting from a dark enclosure into a bright environment.
The Trijicon ACOG®/Reflex Sight combo is the ultimate aiming solution for both Close Quarter Battle (CQB) situations and longer distance shots requiring additional magnification.
This dual-sighting system gives the shooter a distinct tactical advantage with the option of the Trijicon ACOG and a Trijicon red dot sight. With the quick target acquisition of a Trijicon red dot sight and the precise aiming capabilities provided by the magnified Trijicon ACOG, the shooter has the ability to select the proper aiming solution for the situation at hand. Why This Combo?
- Optimized RMR Placement: On the TA02 body, Trijicon moved the RMR mounting bosses to the front of the optic. This is a significant ergonomic improvement over older models; it places the red dot further from your eye for a faster "window" and prevents the RMR from interfering with night vision goggles or helmet-mounted gear.
- Reticle Calibration: The crosshair is specifically calibrated for 5.56 / .223 out to 800 meters, making it ideal for AR-15 platforms.
- Night Vision Compatibility: Because it uses an LED with discrete brightness settings, it is much easier to dial in for use with NVGs compared to the tritium/fiber optic models which can "bloom" or be too bright under certain conditions.

Note: The eye relief on 4x ACOGs is famously short at 1.5 inches. If you aren't used to "nose-to-charging-handle" shooting, you may find the eye box tighter than modern LPVOs, though the field of view remains one of the best in the industry at 36.8 feet at 100 yards.
