How to Place a Local Store Pickup Order
Local customers can bypass shipping fees and pick up orders directly at our shop in Bryan, Texas! Follow these quick steps during checkout to choose store pickup.
Step-by-Step Checkout Instructions
- Add Items to Your Cart: Browse the site and add your desired products to the shopping cart as normal.
- Proceed to Checkout: Click on your cart icon and select Proceed to Checkout. You can choose to checkout by logging into your existing account or simply checking out as a Guest.
- Enter Address Information: Fill out both your billing and shipping address fields. Even though you are picking up in-store, entering your local shipping address is required first so the checkout system can verify your location and unlock local pickup options.
- Toggle OFF Package Protection: While still in the address section, locate the Package Protection toggle switch and turn it OFF. Because you are picking up your items directly at our shop, you do not need to pay for shipping insurance!
- Select "Pickup in Store" Option: By default, the shipping method will be set to standard carrier shipping. Select the Pickup in Store option instead. Once selected, any shipping charges will immediately drop off your order total.
- Add Order Comments (Optional): Below the shipping options, you will see an Order Comments field. If you have any special instructions or notes regarding your pickup—including requesting Lock Box pickup—feel free to enter them here.
- Complete Your Payment: Enter your payment details and submit the order.
Important Pickup Information
- Order Status & Email Notification: Once we have pulled and prepared the items for your order, we will update your order status to "Local Pickup". Updating to this status triggers an automated notification email straight to your inbox.
- Text or Phone Confirmation: In addition to the automated email, we will personally reach out to you via text message or phone call to notify you that your order is ready.
- Always Wait for Direct Contact Before Coming: Please always wait for us to contact you via text message or phone call before heading our way so we can confirm availability and schedule a specific pickup time.
- After-Hours & Weekend Lock Box Pickup Option: Need to pick up outside of normal business hours? We have secure lock boxes located outside the shop for after-hours or weekend pickups!
- How to Request: Please note your request in the Order Comments box at checkout or reach out to us directly.
- Access Code Delivery: For security, access codes and pickup confirmations will only be sent via text message to the phone number associated with the order.
- Lock Box Security & Responsibility: Our lock box area is monitored by 24/7 security cameras. Please keep your access code strictly confidential. Heart of Texas Armory is not responsible for products once placed in the lock box if your access code is not kept secure.
- In-Stock vs. Distributor Transfer Timeline:
- On-Shelf Items: Typically pulled, updated, and scheduled for pickup quickly.
- Distributor Transfers: Items coming from distributor inventory usually arrive at our shop in 2–3 business days. We will contact you the moment the stock arrives and is ready.
- What to Bring for Pickup: Please bring a valid government-issued Photo ID matching the name on the order, along with your Order Confirmation email or order number.
