The AAC (Advanced Armament Company) Blackout Flash Hider (105453 / SR-105453) is one of the most efficient flash-suppressing muzzle devices ever developed for 30-caliber and 7.62mm rifles. Threaded in standard 5/8"-24 TPI, this heavy-duty muzzle device utilizes AAC's open-prong design featuring multi-length, non-symmetrical tines. *Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits rifle barrels with 5/8"-24 TPI threads chambered in .30 caliber / 7.62mm (e.g., .308 Win, 300 BLK, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Win Mag). Note: This is a standalone flash hider model (non-silencer adapter). It does NOT feature fast-attach ratchet teeth for AAC 51T or 90T suppressors. Do not use crush washers when installing; torque directly to the barrel shoulder.
- Ensure the host firearm is verified completely clear, safe, and unloaded before starting installation.
- Clean barrel muzzle threads thoroughly with a wire brush and degreaser to remove carbon and anti-seize residue.
- Apply a drop of medium-strength threadlocker (or high-temp thread sealant) and thread the flash hider onto the barrel shoulder. Torque to 25–30 ft-lbs using a standard armorer wrench.
