Not compatible with 20-gauge, .410 bore, or semi-auto Mossberg 930/940 receivers. Torque the provided stock receiver bolt to 25–30 in-lbs utilizing medium-strength blue threadlocker.
- Ensure the host firearm is completely clear, magazine tube visually and physically empty, and the chamber locked open and verified clear.
- Field-strip the shotgun: remove the barrel, drift out the trigger housing retaining pin, remove the trigger assembly, extract the bolt and slide block, and withdraw the factory forend and action slide assembly forward off the magazine tube.
- Utilizing a dedicated shotgun forend spanner wrench, remove the factory front action tube nut, slide the factory forend off the 7-3/4 inch action slide tube, slide the EX Performance forend into place, and re-torque the spanner nut securely.
- Remove the factory buttstock screw down the stock cavity, align the Adaptive Tactical pistol-grip stock receiver adapter flush against the receiver tang, insert the provided receiver bolt and washer, and torque to 25–30 in-lbs with blue threadlocker.
- Reassemble the bolt, slide block, action bars, trigger housing, and barrel; conduct a complete dry-fire function test, verify unimpeded action cycling, and confirm positive safety actuation before staging.
