- Ensure the upper receiver is completely disassembled, clean, and free of dirt or burrs.
- Apply anti-seize grease to upper receiver threads and insert the barrel extension smoothly into the upper receiver pocket until indexing pin aligns in notch.
- Slide barrel nut over barrel and torque to armorer specifications (35–60 ft-lbs using appropriate barrel nut wrench).
- Install a .750" low-profile gas block with a pistol-length gas tube onto the journal, torque set screws to 25–30 in-lbs with threadlocker, and ensure proper gas tube alignment through upper receiver gas port.
