This is a stripped receiver requiring an AR-15 upper completion kit (forward assist assembly, port door, hinge pin, spring, and snap ring). When installing the barrel, NEVER clamp the bare upper receiver in a polymer clamshell block; always support the assembly internally via a splined barrel extension reaction rod to isolate torsional stress away from the receiver index slot. Lubricate threads with Aeroshell 33MS grease and torque barrel nuts between 35 and 65 ft-lbs.
- Ensure all assembly components are degreased, deburred, visually inspected, and all live ammunition is cleared from the armorer bench area.
- Install the forward assist assembly: insert the forward assist pawl and spring into the housing, compress the pawl past the roll pin channel, and drive the spiral roll pin flush using a roll pin punch.

- Insert the barrel extension into the receiver, mount the assembly onto a splined internal reaction rod clamped in a bench vise, torque the barrel nut using 3 progressive torque cycles to 35-65 ft-lbs, verify gas tube passage alignment, install handguard and BCG, and conduct full functional staging checks.
