The Daniel Defense Omega Rail® 9.0 (01-005-10002) is a revolutionary two-piece free-float handguard designed specifically for AR-15 rifles with a mid-length gas system. It is one of the only systems on the market that provides the accuracy benefits of a free-float rail with the installation simplicity of a drop-in handguard. Using only the included Allen wrench, an operator can install the Omega Rail in minutes without removing the barrel nut, front sight base, or making any permanent modifications to the firearm. This makes it an ideal upgrade for duty rifles or "clone" builds where maintaining the original barrel assembly is required.
Meticulously CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with a Military Specification Type III hardcoat anodize, the Omega Rail 9.0 is both lightweight and incredibly rugged. It features an uninterrupted upper rail platform that aligns perfectly with the flat-top receiver, along with integrated Quick Detach (QD) sling swivel mounts with limited rotation to prevent sling tangling. For added versatility, the lower rail is removable, allowing for the attachment of specialized accessories or easier maintenance. Every Omega Rail uses military-specification fasteners and is proudly made in the USA.
