The Dead Air Silencers KeyMicro Brake (DA109) is a compact, high-performance muzzle device engineered to adapt sub-carbines, pistol-caliber carbines (PCCs), and rifles to Dead Air's fast-attach KeyMicro and KeyMo mounting systems. Featuring a 1/2x28 thread pitch and an enlarged .38 caliber bore, this brake is specifically optimized for 9mm PCC platforms (such as the SIG MPX, CZ Scorpion, Ruger PC Carbine, and 9mm AR-9s) as well as 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington barrels.
Machined from heat-treated alloy steel and finished in a slick, durable Black Nitride (QPQ) coating, the DA109 is built to withstand extreme full-auto firing schedules, harsh propellant gasses, and high thermal stress. When firing unsuppressed, the single-port brake design effectively redirects high-pressure gasses upward and laterally to significantly reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil, allowing shooters to maintain ultra-fast sight tracking and rapid follow-up shots.
When paired with a Dead Air Ghost-M, Wolfman, or Sierra-5 equipped with a KeyMicro Adapter (or any full-size KeyMo adapter), the KeyMicro Brake acts as a sacrificial baffle. Fitment Matrix: Fits 1/2x28 TPI threaded barrels with a bore clearance up to .38 caliber (9mm, .357 SIG, .223 Rem, 5.56 NATO). Direct interface for Dead Air KeyMicro Adapters (Wolfman, Ghost-M) and standard Dead Air KeyMo Adapters.
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the bolt or slide rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to ensure zero live rounds are present.
- Clean external barrel threads thoroughly using a wire brush and degreaser to remove carbon deposits and oil.
- Install the included timing shim kit onto the barrel shoulder to properly time the muzzle brake ports horizontally.
