Note: The 1.70" optical centerline aligns cleanly with lower 1/3 co-witness optic mounts (1.57"–1.70" height) and HYDRA-style riser configurations.
- Verify the firearm is verified completely clear, safe, and unloaded before starting installation.
- Secure your magnifier or NVMD device onto the upper mounting platform of the QDF170 using the included fasteners and threadlocker (torque to 12–15 in-lbs).
- Place the QD mount base onto the Picatinny rail, adjust the QD tension nut on the opposite side for a firm locking throw, and lock the lever closed. Test the flip-to-side detent action before live fire.
