Geissele Automatics Super Tricon Trigger Designed in Cooperation with Jeff Gonzales Former Navy SEAL 05 230 UPC 854014005083
Product Description
The Geissele Automatics Super Tricon Trigger (MPN: 05-230) is a two-stage fire control group developed in direct collaboration w/ Jeff Gonzales, former U.S. Navy SEAL and founder of Trident Concepts (TRICON). Engineered to blend the rapid tactile indexing of a flat bow w/ the traditional sweep of a curved trigger, the Super Tricon features a hybrid bow profile w/ distinct serrations along its lower vertical face. This design delivers enhanced tactile feedback, providing positive finger placement and consistent control even when operating in high-stress, gloved, or wet tactical environments.
Precision-machined in North Wales, PA from aerospace-grade S4 tool steel, the 05-230 incorporates Geissele’s non-adjustable two-stage architecture tuned for duty and tactical staging. The trigger pull is split into a smooth 2.5 lb first stage take-up followed by a crisp 1.5 lb second stage break, yielding a total pull weight of approximately 4.0 lbs. The two-stage design provides an added layer of safety and control during dynamic movement while delivering a sharp, glass-like break for long-range precision.
Coated in a corrosion-resistant black oxide finish, the Geissele Super Tricon utilizes full-power spring geometry to guarantee positive ignition on hard military-surplus primers. Designed as a direct drop-in upgrade for standard MIL-SPEC 0.154" receiver pin holes, it serves as a reliable fire control system for AR-15 and AR-10 platform rifles.
Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits standard AR-15, M4, AR-10, and SR-25 lower receivers equipped w/ MIL-SPEC 0.154" trigger/hammer pin holes. (Note: Will NOT fit large-pin Colt lower receivers [.170"] or SIG MPX platforms without specialized bridge adapters).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, retract the charging handle, and visually/physically inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Separate the upper and lower receivers by pushing out the takedown and pivot pins.
- Remove the pistol grip, detent spring, safety detent pin, and safety selector lever.
- Tap out the existing trigger and hammer pins using a drift punch, then remove the OEM fire control group.
- Place the Geissele Super Tricon trigger body into the receiver well, align the sleeve w/ the lower receiver holes, and drive in the included 0.154" trigger pin.
- Install the hammer assembly and hammer pin, reinstall the safety selector, grip detent, and grip, then perform a complete manual function check (ensuring the hammer is caught w/ a hammer block during dry fire testing).
