Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits all 9mm handguns equipped w/ a Griffin Armament CAM-LOK® 9mm Barrel Adapter installed. (Note: REQUIRES a 9mm CAM-LOK barrel adapter on the firearm's threaded barrel; will NOT thread directly onto standard 1/2x28 or M13.5x1LH barrel threads without the CAM-LOK adapter in place).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, retract the slide rearward, and visually/physically inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Ensure your 9mm handgun threaded barrel is properly fitted w/ a Griffin Armament 9mm CAM-LOK barrel adapter torqued to 20–22 ft-lbs w/ red threadlocker.
- Clean and degrease the tapered interrupted threads on the CAM-LOK barrel adapter and internal teeth of the CAM-LOKCOMP9.
- Push the CAM-LOKCOMP9 compensator onto the CAM-LOK adapter, align the interrupted thread lugs, and rotate clockwise approximately 120 degrees until hand-tightened against the mechanical taper lock.
- Perform a manual action cycle check to verify full slide movement and ensure the compensator does not contact the slide or guide rod during full recoil travel.
