The Griffin Armament M2 Sight Set (GAM2S) is an ultra-compact, modular backup iron sight (BUIS) system engineered to deliver unyielding reliability, precise target acquisition, and low-profile staging on MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny receiver rails. Built from investment-cast 17-4 stainless steel and finished with a Melonite® QPQ corrosion-resistant treatment, the M2 Sight Set provides extreme structural durability in a package significantly lighter and lower-profile than traditional aluminum flip-up sights.
Featuring Griffin's patented modular base system, the GAM2S kit includes two top-mounting 12 o'clock Picatinny bases. This design separates the sight tower assemblies from the rail base, allowing operators to easily convert the system from a standard top-mounted backup sight configuration to a 45-degree angle offset orientation by swapping to optional Griffin offset base plates (sold separately).
The elevation-adjustable front sight post utilizes standard A2 post geometry, making it fully compatible with aftermarket front posts (such as tritium or fiber optic posts). The windage-adjustable rear sight features a dual-aperture peep design for both rapid close-quarters acquisition and precise long-range aiming. When folded flat, the low-profile tower profile easily clears magnified riflescopes, red dot magnifiers, and night vision setups without snagging on tactical slings or gear harness webbing.

Fitment Matrix: Fits standard MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails. Establishes standard M4 carbine sight height when mounted to the top receiver rail. Modular design allows sight towers to be detached from the 12 o'clock bases and remounted onto Griffin 45-degree angle plates without changing sight zero parameters.
- Verify the firearm is completely safe, clear, and unloaded prior to installation.
- Position the 12 o'clock bases onto the top Picatinny rail, ensuring the recoil lugs seat firmly inside the rail slots.
- Torque rail clamp screws evenly to 25 in-lbs using a calibrated torque wrench. Align the front and rear sight towers onto the bases and tighten the retention hardware firmly.
