The Griffin Armament SN-ACH 15 Gen 2 (SNACH15R3) is a specialized Suppressor Normalized Ambidextrous Charging Handle engineered specifically to overcome the harsh face-directed gas blowback associated with suppressed AR-15 firing schedules. Purpose-built for suppressed short-barreled rifles (SBRs), duty carbines, and hard-use target builds, the Gen 2 SN-ACH features a patented forward-facing gas port and gas routing lip that redirects pressurized propellant gasses, unburnt powder, and aerosolized oil forward and away from the shooter's eyes.
Precision CNC-machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum, the SNACH15R3 offers extreme structural stiffness to eliminate stem bending and binding during aggressive manual manipulation or mortaring clearing procedures. The assembly is treated with a Type III hardcoat anodized matte black finish for high wear resistance, lubricity, and protection against chemical solvent corrosion.

Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits standard mil-spec AR-15 upper receivers chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, .223 Rem, .300 BLK, 6.5 Grendel, and 6.8 SPC. (Not compatible with AR-10 / .308 Win platform upper receivers).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, pull the existing charging handle rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to ensure zero live rounds are present.
- Depress the rear takedown pin and pivot the upper receiver open away from the lower receiver.
- Pull the existing charging handle and bolt carrier group (BCG) rearward, then remove the BCG from the upper receiver channel.
- Align the key tabs of the Griffin SN-ACH 15 Gen 2 charging handle with the internal cutouts in the upper receiver track, push it upward slightly, and slide it halfway into the channel.
- Re-insert the bolt carrier group into the receiver, placing the gas key inside the lower track of the SN-ACH charging handle, and push both fully forward until the charging handle latch clicks securely over the upper receiver notch.
- Reassemble the receivers and perform a manual rack, lockup, and trigger reset function check before live fire.
