- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the slide rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to ensure zero live rounds are present.
- Clean the slide optic cut and screw holes thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove oil and machining debris.
- Position the EPS Core optic housing directly onto the slide cut (or included adapter plate if required).
- Apply a drop of medium-strength threadlocker (Blue Loctite 242) to the included mounting screws and torque to 15 in-lbs using an inch-pound torque wrench.
