- Verify host rifle platform is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically confirmed empty.
- Ensure daytime riflescope is properly mounted, leveled, and zeroed prior to installing the clip-on device.
- Mount the CNVD-LR onto the forward Picatinny rail directly in front of the daytime riflescope objective lens using the single throw-lever assembly.
- Lock throw-lever firmly in place, ensuring no fore-aft play or movement along the rail section.
