Fitment Matrix: Universal across all rifle, pistol, rimfire, black powder, and archery target disciplines. CRITICAL staging notice: The LR-3 system creates its own private RF transmission link and does NOT require cellular coverage or internet access. The camera unit is NOT bulletproof; position the transmitter 10 to 15 feet downrange of the target face and canted 15° to 30° off-axis to avoid direct hits, ricochets, and jacket splatter. For extended ranges near the 2-mile threshold, maintain direct visual line-of-sight between camera and receiver; utilize full-sized tripods if terrain berms or vegetative curvature obstruct the RF link.
- Ensure the host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty. Power down all field electronics prior to downrange placement.
- Transport the camera unit downrange and stage it 10 to 15 feet in front of the target, offset slightly to the side (5 o'clock or 7 o'clock position) to eliminate splashback risk.
- Thread the camera and receiver units onto the supplied 1/4"-20 UNC mini tripods, adjust legs to achieve solid ground footing, and orient antennas vertically with line-of-sight alignment.
