The Magpul M-LOK Type 2 Rail Covers are low-profile, two-piece handguard panels engineered to mount directly into standard M-LOK aluminum slots. Designed to enhance grip traction while insulating the shooter's support hand from intense barrel heat during sustained rapid-firing schedules, these non-orientational covers allow custom positioning across handguard surfaces. Available in Black, Flat Dark Earth (FDE), OD Green, and Stealth Gray, they allow you to customize your rifle's color pattern while maximizing front-end control.
Molded from a durable, heat-resistant polymer, each panel features TSP (Trapezoidal Surface Projection) aggressive texturing for non-slip control under wet, cold, or gloved-hand conditions. The innovative two-piece snap-in design utilizes locking center tabs that secure the covers tightly into place, preventing accidental displacement from gear snags or drop impacts.

- Separate the outer textured cover panel from the inner locking base frame.
- Insert the inner locking frame into the desired M-LOK slot until it seats flush against the slot edges.
- Snap the outer textured panel over the base frame until the center locking tabs click firmly into place.
- To remove, insert a small flat-head screwdriver or punch into the release notch to disengage the locking tab.
