Generic or thin-walled handguards often flex under heavy bipod loads, twist when running tight sling tension, or transfer excessive barrel heat directly to the shooter's support hand. The Mission First Tactical Extreme Duty 15" M-LOK AR15 Handguard (TMEXD-MHG-15) resolves flex, twist, and thermal constraints through an ultra-rigid 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion anchored by a heavy-duty steel barrel nut system.

Featuring M-LOK mounting slots along the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, the TMEXD-MHG-15 offers extensive attachment points for tactical lights, vertical foregrips, barricade stops, and tripod plates. The top profile integrates a full-length MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail, providing a seamless alignment plane for backup iron sights, laser designators (IR/visible), and thermal optics. Its slim octave geometry allows shooters to wrap their support hand in a comfortable C-clamp grip for maximum muzzle control.

Fitment & Platform Compatibility Matrix: Fits standard Mil-Spec AR-15 Upper Receivers (.223 Rem / 5.56 NATO / .300 Blackout / 6.5 Grendel). Gas Block Note: Designed for use with low-profile gas blocks (0.750" or 0.625" journals). Will NOT fit large-frame AR-10 / LR-308 upper receivers or barrels with fixed A2 front sight posts unless modified.

Installation Sequence:

Safety check the firearm: remove magazine, lock bolt rearward, and physically/visually inspect chamber to confirm 100% clear weapon.

Remove old handguard, muzzle device, gas block/tube assembly, and factory barrel nut using an armorer wrench.

Clean upper receiver threads and apply Aeroshell 33MS (or equivalent graphite-free moly grease) to receiver threads.

Thread the included MFT steel barrel nut onto upper receiver threads and torque to manufacturer specification (35–50 ft-lbs).

Slide the TMEXD-MHG-15 handguard over the barrel nut, align top Picatinny rail with upper receiver rail, insert clamping screws, and torque cross-bolts evenly to 30–35 in-lbs using non-permanent threadlocker.
