Fitment Matrix: Fits standard AR-15 and AR-10 / LR-308 pattern lower receivers (Mil-Spec diameter). Compatible with standard carbine buffers and springs, as well as piston-driven bolt carrier groups. Accepts all Mil-Spec dimensioned adjustable carbine stocks (Magpul, BCM, B5 Systems, MFT). (Note: Due to the extended anti-tilt lip design, installation requires depressing the buffer retainer pin prior to fully threading the tube into position).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, pull the charging handle rearward, lock the action open, and visually inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Thread a standard castle nut onto the POF-USA buffer tube with the notched staking spanner ring facing rearward toward the stock.
- Slide a steel lower receiver end plate onto the extension tube with the alignment index tab facing forward toward the receiver keyway.
- Depress the buffer retainer pin and spring into its receiver pocket, then thread the anti-tilt extension tube into the lower receiver until the extended lip cradles the retainer pin flat.
- Slide the end plate forward into the rear receiver index notch, thread the castle nut forward against the end plate, and hand-tighten.
- Using an AR-15 castle nut wrench, torque the castle nut to specification (38–40 ft-lbs) and stake the end plate into one of the castle nut notches using a center punch.
- Insert your carbine recoil spring and buffer into the extension tube until captured by the retainer pin, then slide your Mil-Spec buttstock onto the 6-position tube.
