The Primary Arms SLx 3x MicroPrism (710054) is an ultra-compact, lightweight 3x magnification optical sight engineered to combine the wide field of view and rapid target acquisition of a red dot with the long-range precision of a magnified optic. Finished in a durable Flat Dark Earth (FDE) hardcoat finish, this MicroPrism utilizes an etched-glass ACSS Raptor 5.56/.308 yard reticle. The etched glass construction solves reticle starbursting and distortion issues commonly experienced by shooters with astigmatism, while guaranteeing a crisp black reticle image even if battery power is depleted.
The patented ACSS Raptor reticle features an intuitive central horseshoe for close-quarters speed, an amber/red illuminated center aiming point, integrated moving target leads, auto-ranging silhouette bars, and ballistic drop compensation (BDC) holdovers calibrated for 5.56 NATO, .223 Rem, and .308 Win out to 600 yards. - Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the bolt rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to confirm zero live ammunition is present.
- Select the riser combination from the included mount kit to achieve your preferred optical height (e.g., Absolute Co-Witness, Lower 1/3, or 1.93").
- Attach the optic body to the modular riser base using the provided thread-locking fasteners, torquing screws to 12-15 in-lbs.
- Place the assembly onto the upper receiver Picatinny rail, pushing forward toward the muzzle to seat the cross-bolt against the rail recoil slot.
- Torque the Picatinny rail cross-bolts to 30-35 in-lbs for non-slip zero retention.
- Adjust the ocular fast-focus eyepiece until the etched ACSS Raptor reticle appears razor-sharp, then establish a 100-yard zero using the 1/4 MOA windage and elevation turrets.
