1. Ensure the pistol is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty.
2. Remove the factory optic cover plate from the CZ Shadow 2 OR slide cut and thoroughly clean/degrease the mounting pocket threads.
3. Place the Shield Sights adapter plate into the factory slide pocket, ensuring the plate sits fully flush against the slide floor.
4. Apply medium-strength threadlocker (Blue 242/243) to the plate mounting screws, torque to CZ specifications (12–15 in-lbs), then mount your Shield pattern optic onto the integrated locating pins and secure to 12 in-lbs.
