- Ensure the host pistol is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty.
- Lock the slide to the rear, rotate the takedown lever downward 90 degrees, and ease the slide assembly forward off the frame rails.
- Compress and remove the recoil spring guide rod assembly, then lift out the factory barrel from the slide chassis.
