CRITICAL: Standard flush 10-round P365 micro magazines are too short and will NOT seat in this XL module. Requires 12-round flush, 15-round, or 17-round magazines. NOT compatible with California-compliant models fitted with magazine disconnect safeties. Non-manual safety FCUs can be installed but will leave open safety gaps.
- Ensure the host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty.
- Lock the slide to the rear, rotate the takedown lever down 90 degrees, and carefully slide the upper assembly forward off the lower receiver.
- Using a non-marring pin punch, drift the single rear receiver retention pin from either side and remove the pin completely.
- Rotate the serialized Fire Control Unit (FCU) upward from the front and lift it free from the old grip module housing.
- Insert the rear of the FCU into the new manual safety grip module, align the safety levers through the ambidextrous cutouts, press the front downward until fully seated, reinsert the rear retention pin, reassemble the slide, and perform a complete manual safety dry-fire function check.
