The SIG Sauer ROMEO7 (SOR71001) is a full-size, heavy-duty 1x30mm red dot sight engineered for modern sporting rifles, tactical carbines, and shotgun platforms. CNC-machined from lightweight 6061 billet aluminum, the chassis features an integrated QD cross-bolt mount system with an included QD riser block (1.53" centerline co-witness) and a low-profile fixed mount. Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits standard MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny receiver rails on AR-15, AR-308, PCC, and shotgun platforms. Includes a QD 1.53" M1913 riser mount (standard AR co-witness) and a low-profile Picatinny mount block.

1. Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the bolt rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to ensure zero live rounds are present.
2. Select either the QD 1.53" riser mount (for AR platforms) or the low-profile mount (for shotguns/AK platforms) and attach it to the ROMEO7 optic chassis base.
3. Position the assembly onto your upper receiver's Picatinny rail, pushing the sight forward against the cross-slot recoil lug.
4. Lock the QD lever firmly down to clamp the sight to the rail (adjust the tension nut on the opposite side if extra clamping force is required).
5. Unscrew the top AA battery cap, insert one fresh AA battery (+ terminal facing forward), and hand-tighten the cap until the O-ring seals tight.
6. Rotate the side rotary brightness dial to test reticle illumination through all 9 daytime and 2 night-vision settings before live-fire zeroing.
