Fitment Matrix: Fits barrels with 1/2x28 thread pitch. Features a 7.62mm (.30 caliber) internal bore diameter (safely accepts 7.62mm/.308 Win, 300 Blackout, 6.5mm, and 5.56mm/.223 Rem projectiles). Compatible with SilencerCo suppressors utilizing the ASR mounting system (Omega 300, Chimera 300, Hybrid 46, Saker ASR, Specwar, and Harvester 300 ASR). (Note: DO NOT use crash washers when installing suppressor mount muzzle devices; timing must be accomplished using the included shim kit).
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the bolt rearward, and visually/physically inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Clean the muzzle threads thoroughly, removing carbon, dirt, and previous threadlocker residue.
- Hand-thread the AC1282 brake onto the barrel threads to determine timing alignment relative to the lateral gas ports.
- Select the proper combination of included shims to achieve correct timing so that the brake ports vent horizontally (parallel to the horizon).
- Apply a few drops of high-temp threadlocker (Rocksett recommended) to the clean barrel threads.
- Torque the ASR brake onto the barrel threads to 20–30 ft-lbs using a torque wrench and proper muzzle device socket/wrench.
- Allow threadlocker to cure completely per manufacturer instructions before mounting a suppressor or live-firing.
