Handguard rail torque mandate: Do NOT exceed 20 in-lbs (2.26 Nm) when torquing the steel #8-32 screws into aluminum M-LOK handguards (limit to 15 in-lbs on polymer forends) to prevent stripping fastener heads or cracking rail slots. Ensure wires are routed through the internal CMS channels without sharp pinches prior to clamping the grip flush against the handguard. Apply the included Loctite® Blue 242® to all fastener threads.
- Ensure the host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty. Lock the bolt to the rear before beginning handguard installation.
- Determine your desired operational orientation (forward 86-degree rake for C-clamp pull control or reverse rake for rear hand stopping) and dry-fit the grip along the lower M-LOK slots.
- Route your weapon light or illuminator remote switch cables into the internal grip channels, folding excess slack into the center storage cavity and directing the exit lead out of the top side notch toward your handguard rail.
- Install the #8-32 screws through the grip body, apply a drop of the included Loctite® Blue 242®, thread on the steel M-LOK T-nuts loosely, and align the T-nuts parallel to your handguard slots.
- Seat the grip flush against the rail, verify that wires are completely unpinched, tighten screws clockwise until the T-nuts engage 90 degrees perpendicular, and torque to a maximum of 20 in-lbs using an armorer torque wrench.
