Precision-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum, the KF2-A-DFT-TN features a Mil-Spec Type III hard-anodized Tan finish for maximum abrasion, chemical, and corrosion resistance under extreme field conditions. Fitment Matrix: Direct fitment for 6V Dual Fuel Scout Light® bodies (M640DF, M640DFT Turbo). Compatible with SF 18650 rechargeable batteries and CR123A primary cells. (Note: Designed for 6V/Dual Fuel bodies with larger diameter front threads; will not fit smaller 3V single-CR123A or legacy M300/M600 non-DF bodies).
- Ensure the host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty.
- Unscrew the existing light head from the front of your 6V Scout Light body counter-clockwise.
- Inspect the body threads and rubber O-ring seal for debris, applying a light coat of silicone grease if dry.
- Thread the KF2-A-DFT-TN bezel onto the body clockwise until completely seated against the rubber O-ring, ensuring a weather-tight seal before testing tailcap or remote switch activation.
