- Verify host 7.62mm firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, safety engaged, and chamber confirmed empty.
- Clean barrel muzzle threads thoroughly using a wire brush and solvent to remove old thread locking compounds.
- Select appropriate timing shim sequence from included SureFire shim kit to achieve desired port orientation (Neutral, Right-Hand, or Left-Hand).
- Apply a thin drop of high-temperature Rocksett thread adhesive to clean barrel threads.
