Installation & Staging Steps:
1. Clear the host firearm, verify an empty chamber, remove the slide, and drift out the factory rear sight using a dedicated sight pusher or brass punch.
2. Clean and degrease the dovetail slot thoroughly.
3. Press the Trijicon dovetail base into the slide slot from right to left until centered along the slide axis.
4. Position the adapter plate, apply medium-strength threadlocker (Blue Loctite) to the mounting screws, and torque to factory spec (12 in-lbs) using the included optic screws.
