- Ensure the host rifle is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty.
- Place the TA31 ACOG and TA51 mount onto the top receiver Picatinny rail, positioning it far enough rearward to accommodate the 1.5-inch eye relief.
- Push the optic assembly forward toward the muzzle to seat the integral recoil lug into the rail slot.
- Tighten both TA51 mount thumbscrews to 40 in-lbs (or hand-tighten firmly with a coin or screwdriver flat) to ensure repeatable zero retention before staging.
