- Verify host firearm is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically confirmed empty.
- Depress the spring-loaded quick-detach lever on the Q-LOC mount base and position the optic onto the upper receiver Picatinny rail.
- Push the optic body forward toward the muzzle while releasing and securing the Q-LOC clamping lever to seat the recoil lug into the rail cross-slot.
- Look through the ocular lens with both eyes open to verify comfortable eye relief (approx. 2.4 inches) and natural reticle tracking.
