- Verify host handgun is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically confirmed empty.
- Field strip the slide assembly and remove factory polymer or steel front sight using a 3/16" hex thin-wall front sight tool.
- Use a non-marring sight pusher tool to remove the factory rear sight from the slide dovetail channel.
- Apply a drop of blue threadlocker to the Trijicon front sight screw, insert front sight post into slide hole, and torque to 9-11 in-lbs.
- Press the Trijicon elevated rear sight into the dovetail using a sight pusher tool, verifying centered lateral alignment with a precision digital caliper.
