The Trijicon TA01-NSN-100091 ACOG 4x32 is a combat-proven fixed 4x magnification riflescope originally developed for USSOCOM SOPMOD M4 carbines. Forged from solid 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, this optical sight is engineered to withstand extreme physical abuse, heavy recoil, and severe environmental exposure. Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Mounts directly to standard MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails via the included TA51 thumbscrew base. Can also mount directly to AR-15/M16 carry handles by removing the TA51 base housing.
- Perform a complete firearm safety clearance: drop the magazine source, pull the charging handle back, and visually inspect the chamber to verify it is completely empty.
- Loosen the thumbscrews on the TA51 base, place the optic onto the upper receiver Picatinny rail, and push the sight assembly forward toward the muzzle to seat the cross-bolts against the rail recoil slots.
- Hand-tighten the TA51 thumbscrews, then apply an additional quarter-turn using a flathead screwdriver or coin to secure the mount firmly to 30-35 in-lbs.
- Adjust eye relief by positioning the optic approximately 1.5 inches from the shooter's eye when obtaining a full cheek weld.
