The Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 (VC18-C-2400021) is a MIL-SPEC ruggedized Variable Combat Optical Gunsight (VCOG) designed for extreme durability and mission versatility. Built from a single piece of forged 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, the VCOG is virtually indestructible and was engineered to exceed the rigorous requirements of the U.S. Marine Corps. This model features a premium Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote finish, providing superior abrasion resistance and a specialized tactical look for modern FDE rifle builds.
At the heart of the VCOG is a First Focal Plane (FFP) illuminated Red Segmented Circle / Crosshair reticle, allowing for lightning-fast target acquisition at 1X and precise hold-overs at 8X. The optic is powered by a single, common AA battery, which provides over 600 hours of runtime at moderate settings. With its nearly constant eye relief and integrated dial fin for rapid magnification transitions, the VCOG 1-8x28 is the ultimate "everything" optic for close-quarters battle, medium-range precision, and everything in between.
