Installation & Staging Steps:
1. Clear the host rifle, verify chamber is empty, and thoroughly clean the barrel muzzle threads.
2. Thread the included timing nut onto the barrel muzzle threads all the way back to the barrel shoulder.
3. Thread the Mercury muzzle brake onto the barrel until it contacts the timing nut.
4. Back the brake off slightly until the top port channels are oriented vertically at 12 o'clock, then tighten the timing nut against the brake body using two flat wrenches (approx. 20–25 ft-lbs) to lock timing in place without crushing barrel threads.
