Product Description
The authentic Victorinox® Swiss Army Classic SD in Mountain Lake (SKU: 0.6223.23 / UPC: 7611160084323) is the quintessential everyday carry pocket tool, combining legendary Swiss precision engineering with a vibrant alpine cyan aesthetic. Compact enough to ride unnoticed on a keychain or tuck into a coin pocket, the Classic SD has served for decades as the premier lightweight utility companion for outdoor adventurers, tactical armorers, first responders, and daily commuters who value reliable cutting and grooming utility in a featherweight package.
Precision-crafted in Ibach, Switzerland, every metallic component is formed from proprietary high-carbon martensitic stainless steel (DIN 1.4110) that has been heat-treated and tempered to deliver an exceptional balance of edge retention, ductility, and absolute corrosion resistance against sweat and moisture. The 1.25-inch pen blade handles precision utility slicing, while the spring-action micro scissors cleanly trim threads, tape, and medical gauze. The integrated nail file features an efficient cross-hatch abrasive surface terminating in a 2.5mm slotted screwdriver tip suited for tightening eyeglasses, watch pins, and small electronic battery covers.
Encasing the stainless steel frame are durable cellidor/ABS scales finished in Victorinox's Mountain Lake hue, accented by the silver Swiss cross and shield crest. Hidden neatly within the scale channels are two essential field accessories: slant-tipped polymer tweezers for fine splinter or foreign object extraction and a durable nylon toothpick. Backed by Victorinox’s legendary lifetime warranty against defects in material and workmanship, the 0.6223.23 Classic SD provides dependable everyday utility whenever you need it.
*Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:*
Fitment Matrix: Fits standard 58mm Victorinox pocket slip sheaths, lanyard clips, and split key rings. Implements are non-locking slipjoints. Maintenance note: Periodically clean scale recesses with warm soapy water to clear pocket lint; dry thoroughly and lubricate the brass pivot pins and steel backsprings with a food-safe mineral oil or Victorinox Multi-Tool Oil (4.3302). Avoid harsh petroleum solvents or brake cleaner, which will cloud or degrade cellidor scales.
- Inspect the pocket knife implements to confirm all tools open smoothly with positive slipjoint detent snap and zero pivot wobble.
- Ensure the scissor leaf spring is seated correctly under the upper lever channel for positive spring return.
- Check the scale slots at the bottom bolster to verify the tweezers and toothpick click firmly into their retention pockets.
- Stage on a primary split key ring, zippered range kit pouch, or EDC pocket organizer using the integrated stainless steel key ring hole.
- Clean and re-oil tool pivots after exposure to sand, dirt, or moisture to maintain effortless one-handed deployment.
