- Ensure the host firearm upper receiver is completely clear, magazine removed, and chamber visually and physically verified empty.
- Clean and degrease the target receiver Picatinny rail section before positioning the riser mount.
- Place the YHM-226 mini riser onto the receiver rail, pushing forward toward the muzzle so the cross-bolt seats firmly against the Picatinny recoil slot face.
