1. Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, pull the charging handle rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to ensure zero live rounds are present.
2. Slide your gas tube into the top port of the Zero Hours gas block and secure it using a standard gas tube roll pin.
3. Thoroughly degrease the barrel gas journal and the internal bore of the gas block.
4. Slide the gas block onto the barrel, carefully aligning the internal gas port with the barrel's gas port hole.
5. Apply a drop of high-temperature threadlocker (such as Blue Loctite 242 or Rocksett) to the two set screws.
6. Torque the set screws securely to 25–30 in-lbs (dimpling the barrel at the set screw location is recommended for maximum security), then reinstall the handguard and perform a manual action check.
