The FAB Defense KPOS Scout Slingshot (FXKSCOUTSLGR) in Tactical Gray is a lightweight Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) conversion chassis engineered specifically for Glock 17 and Glock 19 handguns (Generations 3, 4, and 5). Combining a rigid hybrid polymer upper rail section with a high-strength aluminum lower frame, the KPOS Scout transforms a standard Glock pistol into a compact, shoulder-fired carbine platform without requiring permanent firearm modifications or gunsmithing.
The "Slingshot" variant features an integrated spring-loaded, ambidextrous charging handle interface that permits smooth, rapid slide cycling from either side of the chassis. The top full-length aluminum 1913 Picatinny rail accommodates red dot sights, magnifiers, and backup iron sights, while side and lower accessory rails allow direct mounting of tactical lights, lasers, and foregrips. Armorer Bench Notes & Real-World Staging Guidance:
Fitment Matrix: Fits Glock 17, 19, 22, 23, 25, 31, and 32 pistols (Gen 3, Gen 4, and Gen 5) with bottom accessory rails. (Not compatible with Gen 1 or Gen 2 non-railed Glocks, subcompact models, or .45 ACP / 10mm large-frame Glock models). NFA regulations apply regarding shoulder stock configuration.
- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the slide rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Depress the front lock release button on the KPOS Scout chassis and pull open the rear receiver extension housing.
- Align the Glock bottom frame accessory rail into the front lower locking block of the KPOS Scout chassis.
- Push the handgun upward and forward until the rear slide notch seats into the internal charging handle assembly.
- Close the rear receiver housing until the main latch snaps securely into place, locking the handgun firmly within the chassis.
- Operate the Slingshot charging handle manually to confirm smooth slide cycling, ejection clearance, and bolt hold-open function on an empty magazine.
