- Perform a complete firearm safety check: drop the magazine, lock the bolt rearward, and visually inspect the chamber to verify zero live rounds are present.
- Unload and clear the upper receiver, then remove the pistol grip screw and carefully slide the pistol grip downward, taking care not to lose the safety selector spring and detent.
- Remove the existing safety selector bar from the lower receiver.
- Insert the main Geissele Posi-Snap safety selector barrel through the lower receiver from the left side.
- Attach the right-side selector lever using the included hex screw and tighten to spec.
